Educational Programs
The San Diego Space Society hosts various educational programs at the Space Travelers Emporium.
Space Academy
Still in development, this 10 week course is intended to help you prepare for your Commercial Astronaut wings.
Topics covered include:
- An Overview of Space Exploration
- Rocket Equation & Spacecraft Systems
- Life Support Systems & Human Factors
- Orbital Mechanics & Celestial Navigation
- and includeds a hands-on Space Project
This is a High School level and above program.
Schedule and cost per session are being determined, so check back soon.
Space Education in Academia
SD Space will soon begin working with teachers in local schools and universities to help integrate space studies concepts into their curriculum.
Other Classes
The Space Travelers Emporium is the perfect location to host afterschool and weekend science-related classes for students and adults. Since SD Space supports STEM education opportunities of all kinds, our members may offer classes of their own design.
